About the event
How We Parent Matters | A Community Conversation
Join us for an engaging discussion centered around Dr. Janice Johnson Dias’ transformative book, Parent Like It Matters: How to Raise Joyful, Change-Making Girls.
This is a free event and the first 100 registered attendees will receive a free copy of the book. Register at www.jeremiahprogram.org/fargoparentingmatters
In this thoughtful conversation, we’ll explore how intentional parenting can nurture not just happy children, but young people equipped to make meaningful change in the world. We’ll examine how social determinants—including housing stability, educational access, healthcare, and economic opportunity—profoundly shape our children’s development and our ability to parent effectively across different circumstances.
All are welcome — parents, grandparents, educators, and anyone passionate about empowering young people to thrive and make a difference. We’ll discuss how historical and contemporary systems continue to influence parenting approaches while exploring strategies for raising children who understand both their individual potential and their capacity to create positive change.
